February 2010 Newsletter
Can you believe in less than two weeks the Olympic Torch will be lit in Vancouver !?! I remember thinking how far away 2010 was, and now it is here. It is so exciting to be the host for the world, and everyone will get to see how fabulous and beautiful our part of the world really is !! I really look forward to watching our Canadian Olympic Athletes compete in so many fantastic events.

For those of you attending any Olympic events, you are going to have some very special pictures to Scrapbook this month, and we have tons of product to help you do that !! And, not long now until we start seeing all the new CHA roll in, and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! It's like Christmas a few months late !! You will start to see items in late February and they will keep arriving right through until May !!
This year has gotten off to a fantastic start with many new additions to Scrapbookin' Adventures, and we look forward to spending this year continuing to share our love of scrapbookin' with you all year long...

ONLINE Shopping Cart - Here it is !! You've been waiting for it and now we have it... Online Shopping with Scrapbookin' Adventures !! Now, we're starting slow and testing the 'online waters'... you can now register for workshops, crops and special events as well as purchase basic supplies, kits and collection packs. Each week we will add exciting new items as they arrive so that you can enjoy all we have to offer after hours from the comfort of your home. We're SUPER excited to offer this to you and look forward to hearing your feedback. As with anything new, there are bound to be a glitch or 2 here and there, but with your comments it can only be better so please keep in touch and ENJOY !!!!
March Workshops - Registration is now open in store and online for all of our March Workshops !! You'll enjoy a wonderful Card Class with Judy, another fantastic Layout Workshop with Deanyne and a fabulous Heritage Layout Workshop with Jennifer. Don't forget to sign up your girls aged 11 years and up for our fun TEEN Layout Workshop one Friday each month. The girls will enjoy learning all the 'grown up' techniques the big girls use in class and work on completing an album to showcase all their favorite photos of the year.
February Workshops - They're almost completely sold out so check the website or come on in to make sure you get a seat in our classroom !! The TEEN Layout Workshop sold out in January but... there is still lots of space in this months' TEEN Layout Workshop so talk to your daughters and their friends and then contact us to register !!
All Day Crop in NANAIMO - Join us Saturday April 17th from 9:30am - 9:30pm for a full day of scrapbookin' !!! For only $30.00 per person you will enjoy lots of creative space, all our classroom tools, prizes and a small on-site shop in a beautiful location !! Food will NOT be provided for this event so bring along a lunch or snacks or head out to enjoy any of the nearby local restaurants !!! REGISTRATION is now open.
Scrapbook Carnival - The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival hosted by Canadian Scrapbooker arrives in Victoria on March 12th & 13th and Scrapbookin' Adventures will be there to share in all the fun !! This fantastic 2 day event will showcase many areas of the craft industry with mini workshops and make 'n' takes and shopping too. Check out all the details on their website at www.canadianscrapbooker.ca . Make sure to stop by, say hello and do a little shopping with us while you're there !!!
MS Crop FEBRUARY 20th - Registration has closed for this year's event and there are over (60) excited scrapbookers from all over Vancouver Island ready to work all day (and night) long in Shwnigan lake February 20th. If you were one of the lucky ladies that got a spot at this event, we are looking forward to seeing you there !! Add www.eternalhope.ca to your favorites and watch for next years' event info...
Garage sale - Coming soon !! Start going through all your scrapbooking supplies and packaging them up to earn your Scrapbookin' Adventures store credit. Date to be announced in the March Newsletter with registration numbers available March 1st - March 30th !!! This is a wonderful way to move on from some of the products you've had for a while and into all the wonderful new items that will arrive in the shop throughout the Spring.
Monthly Project Kits - Our first ever Monthly Project Kit was so fun and we only have a few left in the shop !! For only $20.00 per kit on the 15th of each month you'll be able to enjoy a kit full of product and full color instructions to complete a minimum of (2) 12x12 layouts and (2) cards !! It is a fantastic deal and a wonderful way to complete something fun in just a couple of hours. Watch for the February kit to be available Monday the 15th both in store and online.
NEW !!! Scrapbookin' Saturdays - We get asked all the time about more crop time in our shop for you wonderfully creative ladies so we've decided to add "Scrapbookin' Saturdays" to our calendar !! The first Saturday of the month will be an All Day Crop right here in our classroom. You need to pre-register for this workshop to enjoy scrapbooking with other creative souls all day long with the store at your fingertips !! We are only opening this up to a limited number of excited ladies so you will want to register ASAP. Check out the calendar on our website for all the fun details !!!
NEW !!!! CHA Product Releases - We're right in the thick of ordering all the incredible new items that are coming out over the next few months and boy are there some amazing items !! It is so hard to decide what to bring in. Of course we at the shop all have our favorites and we know you do too. Sooooo... here's what you can do to help us to help YOU. Click on the link below, copy and paste it into a NEW email and tell us what you want to see in the shop !! We can't promise it all but we do promise to do our very best to give you the best experience with Scrapbookin' Adventures as always 
Saying Good Luck... NOT Good-bye – We are sad to say that Linnea is retiring from our shop this month. Linnea has been with us from the start, first as a customer and then as part of our team. She quickly became a very special part of this shop. We are sad to see her go but will still enjoy seeing her come in to visit !! Linnea is a wonderful lady that will be missed very much so make sure to give her your best wishes soon as February 11th will be her last day...
For Sale Sign - Okay, ladies... before the phone calls and emails start we wanted to tell you that the sale sign out front IS NOT for the business !! The owners of the building are moving back to the US and have put the house up for sale. Just so you don't think we're leaving, we wanted to let you know so you weren't surprised !!! On the flip side, I guess everything is for sale for the right price though
